"In our first meeting Joseph helped me to see the true causes of my problems, the causes that dwelled within me - my relationship to myself. He soon initiated me into the path of self-love, which has drastically altered all the important relationships of my life in such a positive way that I could have never imagined."

- Robert Lee Camp

Single Mothers

Many mothers in our country today find themselves in the position of being a single mother of boys. These mothers are frequently concerned about how to insure the healthy masculinity of their sons. One challenge is to respect masculinity. Can a mother respect her son's pulling at his groin or spitting on the little league field? Such behaviors although repellant to many women are examples of typical "play acting like a man" behavior and are important to his development. Can a mother create a safe place for him to "practice" being a man.

But most important is can a mother find something in her son that she can say, "I love that in you. It reminds me of your father." Every boy is one half his mother and one half his father. If the mother totally rejects the father, she rejects one half of her son! No matter how repellant, abusive, gross, etc. was the father, if he is energetically excluded, it will be very difficult for the son to not follow in his footsteps.
