Healthy Masculinity: Illustrated Version
A man can never move toward healthy masculinity until he fully realizes at the deepest levels that women have nothing to do with either his problems or his power.
For a man who did not establish that strong masculine identity in those critical early teen years, the movement to a
strong, healthy masculine identity can be a life-long journey and includes the following:
- Knowledge, that leads to self-awareness.
- Self awareness, that leads to a man taking full responsibility for his life.
- Taking responsibility, for his feelings, actions, and life-circumstances.
- Self-love through self knowledge: there are many levels to this truth.
- "Taking" our Fathers, our connection to the masculine field.
- Resolution of systemic entanglements, freeing us from unconscious family dynamics.
- Connection to other men: A man expresses his masculinity with women but he refreshes it with men.
- Spiritual, the realization that the true source of power lies beyond us.
